Creative Writing 3 & Comprehension 3

Service Description

This is a day in which we will run both Creative Writing Workshop 3 (Persuasive Writing) and Comprehension Classics 3, with a lunch break in between. The morning session will focus on mastering 'persuasive' writing. The students will study: Forming a coherent, reasoned argument Structuring their writing effectively Using persuasive techniques to convince the reader Using our unique, handy mneumonic to write persuasively Fun challenges to test their newly learnt skills and techniques During the afternoon session, we will: Look in detail at the 4 most common types of comprehension question & how to tackle them Delve into the most common mistakes students make and how to avoid them. Work through a tricky comprehension as a group, giving constructive and detailed guidance. A reminder will be emailed to you nearer the time of the event.
